Lying to be perfect (2010) is a modern Cinderella movie that will make you re-evaluate your perspective in life and once again, believe in happy endings (at least for me). It is a must watch movie that will truly inspire you – totally relatable to real life scenarios.
The story revolves around Nola Devlin (Poppy Montgomery), an overweight, frumpy magazine editor who is dissed by her co-workers for her appearance alone. She created a secret alter ego, Belinda Apple – a famous and reclusive advice columnist, to prove her co-workers otherwise. Nola and her two BFFs, tired of getting treated rudely based on their weight and their waist sizes made a pact (Cinderella Pact) to help each other loose weight in 4 months inspired by Apple’s advises. But, as they loose dress sizes, they face real issues that will test their friendship and build their self-esteem.
Here are some quotes from the movie that I just love love love:
“Was it hard? Yes. How did I do it? By reclaiming my power and getting out of my own way……”
“You should create the life you deserve.”
You want a life? Get one! Grant yourself a wish to change and stop complaining then do something.”
“Sometimes you have to close your eyes and read between the lines.”
“We are all similar, no matter what our size. Within each of us there is a unique beauty and grace.”
“She needed a fairy godmother to empower her with kind of self-confidence it takes to reject the insecurity brought on by unrealistic, overachieving, anorexic images in the media.”
“Can’t is not part of our vocabulary.”
“Nobody said this is gonna be easy, right?”
“Fat or thin, you deserve that job. You need to believe that you deserve it.”
“NO more broken cookies, NO more standing in the shadows, it’s time you took center stage.”
“There were people who told me that I was just a BIG GIRL with BIG DREAMS.”

Or you can also read the book it was based on entitled “The Cinderella Pact” by Sarah Strohmeyer.
1. The next time my phone rings it’s President Obama telling me there’s a really important mission that only I can be trusted with. “Do you trust me?” he asks. “Run.” Suddenly a SWAT team bursts through the office window and like Neo, I Matrix through that glass like it’s slow-moving snow. I steal someone’s motorcycle and drive across the border, finally making it the White House by nightfall, where Obama gives me a special mission. That’s as far as I’ve gotten with this one.
2. Tonight when I’m trying to sleep a team of flying childhood heroes will tap on my window and tell me I too, can fly. Sailor Moon inducts me as the newest member of her planetary circle after NASA discovers a new planet called Cosmra II.

Lack of sleep isn’t the only thing sapping your energy. Little things you do (and don’t do) can exhaust you both mentally and physically, which can make getting through your day a chore. Here, experts reveal common bad habits that can make you feel tired, plus simple lifestyle tweaks that will put the pep back in your step.
You skip exercise when you’re tired
Skipping your workout to save energy actually works against you. In a University of Georgia study, sedentary but otherwise healthy adults who began exercising lightly three days a week for as little as 20 minutes at a time reported feeling less fatigued and more energized after six weeks. Regular exercise boosts strength and endurance, helps make your cardiovascular system run more efficiently, and delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues. So next time you’re tempted to crash on the couch, at least go for a brisk…

Thursday’s Season 3 finale of Suits found Mike trading his (fake) lawyer job for a gig as an investment banker.
Now that Harvey’s protégé has become his client, TVLine chatted with executive producer Aaron Korsh to find out what that means for their relationship. (Hint: There’s a twist coming.)
The EP also dished about the future of Mike and Rachel’s romance, Donna’s role in Harvey’s life and much more.
TVLINE | Mike accepting this job offer seems like a way to shake up the setup of the show. What kind of new avenues and storylines do you hope this opens up?
Well, first of all, I wanted to comment that I was very happy after reading [many of] the…

Their is a new place to visit for your food cravings, and it is just hidden at the 2/f of Pos Building across Il Terrazo.
Twist Comfort Food + Difference offers old time favorite dishes with a twist.
Good food, excellent service and friendly staff.
The interior reminded me of the Alice in Wonderland Tea party scene screaming with lots of fun – Aged crooked wood, fancy chandeliers, Victorian chairs.
The price ranges from 200 pesos to 500 pesos for appetizers and main menu with some exceptions.
They also offer wide variety of drinks and cocktails. I tried the Frozen Raspberry Ice tea, it was refreshing and not too sweet.
We tried one of the best sellers, Trio Adobo. It is a mix of chicken, pork and beef flakes with the adobo salsa. It was served with a cup of garlic brown rice.
The chicken and pork was juicy, tender and well-marinated contrasting with the crispy beef flakes which gives it the edge. Every bite was delightful and perfect with the garlic brown rice.
The receipt came in a cutlery box which I think is a genius. It says ” A good day starts with good appetite. Our cutlery is essential for preparing all types of … YOU’LL SPOIL YOUR APPETITE 1905″
I will definitely be back to try some more dishes in their menu especially the 1000 Ways to All-Day Breakfast and the Famous Twist Cookie.
Location: 2/F Pos Building, Tomas Morato Avenue corner Scout Madriñan Street, Tomas Morato, Quezon City.
Just when you think that the Tomas Morato, Quezon City food scene has been saturated, up comes this new restaurant called Twist which brought eager diners a new feast for the eyes and mouth.
It’s hidden in the second floor of the building right beside Il Terrazzo. There’s several other restaurants there, too. We have yet to try the others, but we’ve already developed a soft spot for Twist.
When people ask about the food from Twist, I guess the best description would be fusion comfort food. There’s a mixture of Filipino, Italian, American, and French all over their menu.

aJust this January, La Vie Parisienne open in Manila. It is pronounced as [la vi paʁizjɛn] and a French term literally means “Parisian life”. It offers variety of French Bread and Deserts such as Croissants, Macaroons, Eclairs and the like.
Paris-Brest is a French dessert, made of choux pastry with flavoured cream in between.
They also offer variety of sandwiches with price ranging from 150 pesos to 200 pesos.
We tried the Traditional Sandwich. The Parma ham or Rosette was tender and seasoned well but their version of the baguette was too firm for me.
Some of their pastries.
The store has a very chill and cozy vibe. I can spend hours in this place with a cup of black coffee and a Paris Brest to reading or spend the night with a glass of wine with a good chat with your friends .
